Acne disorder begins during the adolescence to most of the people. But one of the main and common reason is the higher production of sebum due to the increasing level of sex hormones in the body during adolescence. let’s first discuss sebum, that what is it?
Sebum is an oily and complex mixture of lipids which is produced by the sebaceous glands. Sebaceous glands are almost everywhere in the body, but the on some places like the forehead, back, and chin are more in quantity. Sebaceous generate sebum and the ratio of production of sebum is different according to the age and gender. Adult males produce more sebum than the females.
There are various other factors too.
There is a sudden rush in the level of hormones at the age of adolescence. To form dihydrotestosterone these hormones react with skin it is also known as DHT. This DHT increases the size of sebaceous glands, and they also start generating more production of sebum. Because of increase in sebum hair follicles starts plugging which became the main reason of developing acne.
Bacteria causes acne:
there is another common reason of acnes which are known as propionibacterium acnes are because of bacteria. Bacteria is commonly found on the surface of the skin, also inside the pimples that’s why it is potentially stopped to pinch the pimples. Because of growing age, and increasing hormones the bacteria also increases.
Because of Medicines:
It’s also observed that sometimes acne can occur in a reaction of the particular drug. But the good thing is that when we stop using that particular medication acne also stop appearing and skin gets clear soon.
Pregnancy is the most common reason for the women to develop acne because pregnant women usually develop more hormones in their body, sometimes their acne clears up soon but sometimes leaves the acne spots. Newborn babies can also have acne at this time. It could be because of some hormones passed to baby from the mother.
Somewhat acne can also get appeared because of very rare disorder to their endocrine system. And this could happen to the people of any age.
According to the researchers that acne can also pass to the children from the parents. And this sort of acne is known as genetic acnes. Means those children who have acne their parents also have the same form of acne or the different one.
